FAQ.
What is the language in which the training program is conducted?
Group lessons, teaching materials, workbooks, exercises, observation, and 1-1 sessions can be in English or Greek.
For whom is coaching training for?
There is an apparent interest from many people from various backgrounds and experiences to explore the coaching field further and even become professional coaches themselves.
The turn of people to personal introspection and offering to others starts from two different sources. The first source is the prolonged economic crisis that has led to questioning traditional professional choices and industries and the need to find alternatives closer to people’s authentic desires and confirmed talents.
The second is the coronavirus era, combined with the global pause and awareness in areas such as the environment, human relations, and individual and collective responsibility.
Motivations include personal growth and development, discovering opportunities, setting high goals, improving leadership, supporting others towards personal and professional progress and prosperity, social responsibility, new purpose, and vision.
As society matures, and this is done mainly through challenges, it realizes the value of self-knowledge, the development of human interconnection, and the support of specialized and reliable professionals.
What is the difference between certification, approved certification, and credentialing?
Certification is the document that confirms your participation in any educational program.
Approved certification: When you complete the 100 hours of training in “Coaching Skills & Tools in Practice,” you will receive not a simple certification but an approved certification as ACSTH by the leading organization of professional coaches, the “International Coaching Federation.”
This means that the training you received meets the high global standards and specifications set by the leading organization ICF and is constantly re-examined for renewal reasons.
This way, you are assured that you have invested in an always modern, reliable, and high-quality coaching training program.
In addition, from the first day you start training, you can register as a member of the ICF global body and the local chapter of ICF Greece and use their logos.
Finally, and most importantly, only an approved certification can allow you to begin the credentialing process to practice coaching professionally.
Credentialling:
Your training from an ICF approved program as an ACSTH or ACSTP enables you
-Claim your accreditation.
Namely: You are entering an evaluation process by the ICF in terms of your experience and skill as a coach based on the established ICF core coaching competencies, definitions, and Code of Ethics. You can go to the ICF site and see all the requirements depending on the level of credentialing (ACC, PCC, MCC).
For example: for ACC you need:
-10 hours of mentoring to enhance the coach’s 8 ICF Core Competencies,
-100 hours of coaching sessions (a small percentage ex 25% pro-bono and the rest paid),
-A multiple-choice exam and
-A recorded session with its transcript.
-Online application on the ICF site
What do I need to work as a professional coach?
- BE MOTIVATED:
- CHOOSE AN ACCREDITED COACHING TRAINING PROGRAM, AS CSTP DOES, BY A LEADING PROFESSIONAL BODY SUCH AS ICF
- BECOME A MEMBER OF A RELIABLE INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL BODY AND THE CORRESPONDING LOCAL CHAPTER AS ICF GLOBAL AND ICF GREECE CHAPTER
- CLAIM YOUR PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS AS ICF ACC, PCC, MCC
- PRACTICE – PRACTICE
- CONTINUOUS STRENGTHENING OF YOUR COACHING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- PUT A COACH OR/AND SUPERVISOR IN YOUR LIFE:
- Pursuing high goals becomes even more efficient with the best results if you add to your own “intellect” the “intellect” of other people.
Why choose an ICF-approved coaching training program?
Education from an ICF-approved program as an ACSTH or ACSTP allows you to immediately become a member of the ICF global body and the local ICF Greece chapter. After receiving your certification in this approved program, you can claim your credentials and work professionally as a coach. The credential is claimed after your basic coaching training. It is an evaluation process by the ICF in terms of your experience and competence as a coach based on the established ICF core coaching skills and Code of Ethics.
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the leading global federation of professional coaches, the first to lay the foundations, framework, and coaching standards (core competencies and code of ethics). ICF has proven its effectiveness since 1995 up to now.
Why become a member of an international and local professional body such as ICF and ICF Greece respectively?
When you become a member of a professional global and then a local professional body, you ensure that you are constantly informed and growing in the coaching industry because these organizations have this mission. To keep you up-to-date and effective by evaluating the progress of the art and science of coaching. It is practically like belonging to a university that listens to society, does research, and constantly updates your knowledge and practice.
In addition, you belong to a vast network of professionals with a shared vision and values for networking, mutual support, and best practices.
